Durante gli ultimi giorni di vacanze estive ci è stata offerta una esperienza da non rifiutare: una full immersion nel gelato di tutto il mondo. La nostra classe è infatti stata invitata al Gelato World Tour, una competizione di gelatieri da tutte le parti del mondo, che sono giunti in Italia, in particolare a Rimini, per la tappa finale che ha decretato il miglior gelatiere del mondo.
Essendo una competizione di respiro internazionale, non ci siamo lasciati scappare l’occasione di mettere in pratica il nostro inglese, intervistando moltissimi gelatieri, ognuno con una storia e una cultura molto diverse, accomunati però dalla stessa determinazione di vincere.
Il nostro percorso si è sviluppato tra una visita alla zona VIP dove ci hanno consegnato i pass per interviste e assaggi gratuiti, l’inaugurazione della tappa, il Cooking Show di Silver Succi in cui abbiamo potuto avere un assaggio del gelato gastronomico, e il tour con la stampa per altre interviste e curiosità.
L’esperienza ci ha arricchito culturalmente ma anche rimpinzato di dolcezze, e siamo tornati a casa addolciti e soddisfatti.

During the last few days of summer holidays we received an offer we couldn turn down: a full immersion on gelato from all over the world. As a matter of fact our class has been invited to the Gelato World Tour, a competition of gelato-makers from all over the world, who arrived in Italy, in the city of Rimini, for the final step of the contest that decided for the best gelato-maker of the world.
It was an international competition so we didn’t let go the opportunity to work on our english, interviewing many gelato-maker; they all had a different story and culture, but every of them had the same determination to win.
Our trip have been developing between a VIP zone visit, where we took the passes for interviews and free sweeties, the inauguration of the tour, the Silver Succi’s Cooking Show where we had a taste of gastronomic gelato, and in the end, the tour with the journalists for other interviews and curiosities.
This experience has culturally enriched us but also filled us with sweeties, in the end we came home sweeter and satisfied.
